KUGOMPO CITY- Growing tensions are being reported in KuGompo City as the unofficial 30 June deadline approaches, with concerns over possible protests and unrest. Foreign nationals and law enforcement agencies are preparing for potential disruptions as uncertainty continues to grip communities.

The situation has been intensified by allegations involving foreign-owned spaza shops after police and health officials closed one shop and seized suspected unsafe products. A local resident also claimed to have found drugs hidden in maize porridge. Police have urged residents to remain calm while investigations continue, but frustration has already led to unrest affecting businesses in the CBD.
