JOHANNESBURG – Former MK Party members Nhlamulo Ndhlela and Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla say they will head to court after being expelled from the uMkhonto weSizwe Party. Speaking at a press briefing in Sandton, Ndhlela warned that further expulsions could deepen divisions within the movement, following last week’s decision by the party to remove them for allegedly sowing internal discord.
The pair say they only learned about their expulsion through the media and argue that due process was not followed. They were previously suspended earlier this year over misconduct allegations before the party confirmed their immediate termination. Zuma-Sambudla, who is the daughter of former president Jacob Zuma and MK Party leader, maintains the decision is being contested and will be challenged legally.
