JOHANNESBURG – The Democratic Alliance (Democratic Alliance) has announced a R50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the killing of ward candidate Sinovuyo Dyokwe. She was shot and killed in Dunoon on Saturday after visiting a voter registration station.

The killing, alongside the murder of Gqeberha councillor Sixelo Mleve, has raised concerns about political violence ahead of the upcoming municipal elections. DA MP JP Smith said police and investigators are working closely with witnesses and are hopeful of a quick breakthrough.
