PRETORIA – KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Leseja Senona has accused the Madlanga Commission of unfair treatment, claiming he has been denied access to key information, including certain witness statements. Through his legal representative, Advocate Dali Mpofu, Senona argued that he was previously told by a commission official that he did not need to see what others had said about him when he requested documents.

The commission has rejected the claims, with evidence leader Mahlape Sello stating that Senona has not been denied access to any documents. Sello further said the complaints are based on the alleged failure to serve Rule 3.5 notices, adding that witnesses have not implicated Senona in their testimony.
