Emfuleni Local Municipality has published its load reduction schedule for the period May to August 2026. The municipality says it has been requested to participate in an internal load-shedding programme aimed at reducing pressure on the electricity network. The schedule outlines the areas likely to be affected during specific time slots and under different stages of load reduction.
Residents are advised that switching times may vary and that not all listed areas will necessarily experience outages every time. The municipality says only the required amount of electricity will be removed from the network, meaning some customers in affected zones may not be impacted during every load reduction period.
