RANDFONTEIN- The Department of Home Affairs is rolling out its “Home Affairs Coming To You” mobile programme in the Randfontein under the West Rand District Municipality from 25 to 29 May 2026, operating daily between 08:00 and 18:00. The outreach will rotate through five community points, including Poortjie (25 May), Westonaria Sport Complex (26 May), Simunye Taxi Rank (27 May), Bekkersdal Taxi Rank (28 May), and Mohlakeng Ramosa Community Hall (29 May).
The initiative is designed to make identification and travel document services more accessible to residents. First-time ID applicants must meet strict requirements involving biological parents or legal guardians, along with supporting documentation where applicable, while re-issue IDs cost R140 and passports R600. Payments are card-only, with no cash accepted, as the department continues efforts to streamline and modernise service delivery closer to communities.
