Gauteng residents are being called on to work together in addressing the growing challenges facing schools, including crime, vandalism, learner safety concerns, substance abuse and other social issues disrupting education across the province.

The campaign will see visits to 46 communities in 15 districts over the coming weeks, with the aim of strengthening partnerships between communities and the education sector. Leaders behind the initiative say building a safer and more supportive learning environment requires collective action from all members of society.
