JOHANNESBURG- Alleged political fixer Brown Mogotsi says he fears for his life while in police custody, according to his lawyer Makau William Sekgatja. Mogotsi briefly appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where his case was postponed to 25 May.
Mogotsi is facing five charges, including defeating the ends of justice and perjury, linked to claims that he staged an assassination attempt on himself last year. His lawyer says he is uncomfortable eating at the police station and wants to be moved to Johannesburg Correctional Facility after reportedly eating very little since his arrest on Friday.
