GAZA- Israel has announced that it killed Hamas armed wing chief Ezzedine Al-Haddad in an airstrike in Gaza, describing him as a key planner behind the October 7 attacks. The Israeli military, alongside the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet security agency, said the strike was carried out in the Gaza City area and confirmed his death a day later.
According to Israeli authorities, the operation targeted a residential apartment and a vehicle in Gaza City, while Hamas officials also confirmed that Al-Haddad had been killed. The strike is part of an ongoing Israeli campaign against senior Hamas leadership following the group’s October 7, 2023 attack, which triggered the current conflict in the region.
