DURBAN- Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams has been granted R10,000 bail by the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court in Durban. The ruling was delivered on Friday after he appeared in court facing charges of defeating the ends of justice and fraud.
The State alleges that Adams falsely claimed he was on official parliamentary duty to gain access to a convicted hitman linked to the murder of former ANC Youth League Secretary General Sindiso Magaqa. In granting bail, the court considered factors such as his risk of flight, likelihood of evading trial, and his personal circumstances.
