PRETORIA- Alleged political fixer Brown Mogotsi has accused Madlanga Commission chief evidence leader Matthew Chaskalson of attempting to pressure him into implicating North West businessman Suleiman Carrim. Mogotsi claims he was asked to “throw Carrim under the bus” by providing information that would support the commission’s inquiry.
He is now seeking for Chaskalson to recuse himself and for a different evidence leader to be appointed to cross-examine him. Through his legal representative, Mogotsi alleges that the conduct was inappropriate and amounted to undue pressure to influence his testimony before the commission.
