PRETORIA- CAF Champions League Final is set to transform Pretoria into a major football and tourism hub this weekend as Mamelodi Sundowns prepare to host AS FAR at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday, 17 May. Thousands of football supporters are expected to travel to Tshwane for the highly anticipated first-leg clash, with transport systems such as PRASA and the Gautrain expected to assist fans moving around the city.

Gauteng tourism authorities say the final is not only about football but also forms part of the province’s broader #SportingGP strategy aimed at promoting Gauteng as Africa’s top sports tourism and lifestyle destination. Officials believe the influx of visitors will boost hotel bookings, restaurants, nightlife and township tourism while encouraging fans to explore the province longer through the “Stay for Another Day” campaign.
