GAUTENG- Authorities and community members are on high alert following the reported escape of an inmate identified as Joseph Motshekga from Groenpunt Prison. A social media alert circulating online states that Motshekga escaped on Thursday and members of the public are being urged to assist with information regarding his whereabouts.
According to the notice, Motshekga was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, grey top and tekkies, and was carrying a bag. The post describes him as looking like a farm worker. Anyone who spots him or has information has been urged to contact Mr Nkoli on 082 484 2556 or 068 059 734, or the Area Commissioner on 066 089 9272.
