VAAL- Emfuleni Local Municipality has introduced a new JetPatcher machine to accelerate pothole repairs, with operations already underway in Vanderbijlpark. The initiative forms part of efforts to improve road safety and respond more efficiently to infrastructure challenges affecting residents.
According to Roads Department manager Mr Masikela, the JetPatcher is specifically designed for patching potholes rather than full road resurfacing. The machine will be deployed across different regions on a rotational schedule, guided by daily targets and structured planning to ensure fair and consistent service delivery throughout the municipality.
