BOKSBURG- Government leaders are set to convene for a high-level President’s Coordinating Council (PCC) meeting in Boksburg, Gauteng, on Thursday, 30 April 2026, as efforts intensify to address South Africa’s ongoing water challenges.
The meeting will bring together Premiers, Members of Executive Councils (MECs) responsible for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mayors, Municipal Managers, and other key stakeholders. Discussions will focus on coordinated interventions under the National Water Crisis Committee, which was established to drive urgent national action in response to the country’s water crisis.
Chaired by President Cyril Ramaphosa, the committee aims to strengthen collaboration across all spheres of government to improve water management, infrastructure, and service delivery. Members of the media will be allowed to cover only the opening session of the meeting from 10h30 to 11h30, which will include opening remarks and a keynote address.
