Health awareness materials are highlighting how malaria is transmitted through a continuous cycle involving mosquitoes and humans. The process begins when an infected female mosquito bites a person, injecting malaria parasites into the bloodstream. These parasites travel to the liver, where they multiply before entering red blood cells and spreading infection throughout the body.

The cycle continues when another mosquito bites an infected person and picks up the parasites, becoming a carrier that can infect others. Health experts warn that malaria remains a serious, potentially fatal disease that can lead to death within 24 hours if not treated promptly, stressing the importance of early testing, prevention, and treatment.
