Suspended Tshwane Chief Financial Officer Gareth Mnisi has denied any involvement with EFF leader Julius Malema or the party regarding a tender linked to the Tshwane Metro Police Department. He made the statement while testifying before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria.
During cross-examination by evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson, Mnisi was confronted with WhatsApp messages exchanged between him and suspended Organised Crime Unit member Fannie Nkosi. The commission continues to probe allegations surrounding possible irregularities linked to municipal procurement processes.
