VAAL: Emfuleni Local Municipality has announced a planned water interruption in Sharpeville on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, from 07:00 to 17:00. The temporary shutdown will allow technicians to safely lower and maintain a major bulk water pipeline, a step aimed at improving long-term water supply reliability in the area.
Residents are encouraged to prepare by storing sufficient water for daily use during the outage. The municipality has acknowledged the inconvenience caused and is urging the community to use water responsibly.
