Gauteng MEC for Education, Lebogang Maile, will visit Riverlea Secondary School on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, following a fire that broke out at the school a day earlier.
The incident caused significant damage, destroying an entire classroom block and disrupting learning activities.
Maile’s visit aims to assess the extent of the damage and determine the support needed to assist the school in recovery.
