President Cyril Ramaphosa will receive Letters of Credence from newly appointed Heads of Mission-Designate on Wednesday, 08 April 2026, at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guesthouse in Pretoria. These letters are official diplomatic documents presented by ambassadors to confirm their nomination by their respective governments and to formally begin their duties in South Africa.
The ceremony will include ambassadors from 20 countries, including Angola, Barbados, Cuba, Denmark, Ghana, Haiti, Greece, Hungary, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Norway, the Philippines, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Ukraine, the United States, and Zimbabwe.
This event underscores South Africa’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and fostering international partnerships across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
