One of the twins who were separated after being born conjoined at Mankweng Hospital in Limpopo has sadly passed away. The twins were born in January, joined at the abdomen, a rare and complex medical condition that required specialised care.
A team of surgeons successfully performed a separation surgery more than two weeks ago. While the procedure initially brought hope, one of the twins did not survive, highlighting the high risks often involved in such delicate operations.
