The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has placed journalist Natasha Phiri on precautionary suspension following revelations at the Madlanga Commission. This comes after Sergeant Fannie Nkosi admitted to paying her R500.
It is alleged that Phiri received the money in exchange for a contact number. Nkosi, who is currently testifying before the commission, declined to provide full reasons for the payment when questioned.
