DURBAN – The days of bribing your way to a driver’s licence are over.
At least that’s what the KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department is claiming.
It’s launched e-driver technology which records and tracks learner drivers taking the test.
According to the KZN MEC for Transport, Bheki Ntuli, the technology will ensure the traffic department can maintain a proper record of vehicle activity during the test.
“It will help stop crime and corruption in our stations,” said Ntuli.
“There is no ways for learners to bribe the people at the station.”
